Gibs

A Gibs- a bizarre science fiction creature that I made up in the fifth grade and I still love and pursue.
You have probably seen the classic four-armed Gibs, though only in blue, when in reality they come in a multitude of colors. What else do they come in a multitude of? Subspecies, a plethora of them.

They...
Original(K) are strong and are skilled at rolling.
A) can eject spikes from their body at high speed. Rarely are they anything but retracted.
B) have steel-hard limbs, which are always black. They also have retractable fingers, granting them greater dexterity than other species.
C) can move rapidly on the ground by psionicly forming a near frictionless environment on their soles and then propelling themselves with rockets. The propulsive cools rapidly and forms a wall behind the Gibs for a short time. It requires great skill to use this power, and many do not master it until near adulthood.
D) can launch themselves with rockets, whether for jumping or near-horizontal flight.
E) can fly with its wings. The power-mass ratio allows it to fly even with its small wings, combined with gaseous pockets in the wings and limbs.
F) can fly like E, though it does not approach the same speeds. It also has claws and a breath attack, which varies in strength and power on the individual.
G) are amphibious and are adept at swimming.
H) move on 4 legs and are very fast, and are highly flexible. Their spinal column is incredibly manipulable, allowing them to fit through small gaps, contort themselves, and whatnot.
I) can fire its arms, which regrow rapidly. After launch, they can explode, pierce objects, etc. They can also be used as propellers, shields, wheels and the like by spinning them at high speeds.
J) possess a drill-like structure that serves the same purpose, likewise it absorbs nutrients as it mines.

This is a subgroup of Gibs that have fairly obvious similarities, like B, C, and E in the previous group.
L) Well accustomed to heat and dryness, this lizardlike Gibs is venomous and hardy.
M) This spined Gibs is similar to a hedgehog in mechanism, but their personalities and the like cause them to use this capacity in different ways.
N) The shelled Gibs is especially accustomed to difficult environments, such as mountainous locations. Their shell is flexible but strong and becomes immovable if a significant electrical charge is provided (which this Gibs can).

Some ponified Gibs.
